In Italian cuisine, it is served as a bread that is consumed alongside many dishes, as an appetizer, or as a snack. So, how to make focaccia? Focaccia Bread


  • 4 cups flour
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3 tsp thyme
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups water (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

For garnishing:

  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • Rosemary
  • Cherry tomato
  • Capia peppers (finely chopped)
  • Parmesan cheese
Focaccia Bread


  1. Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl. The dough should have a sticky consistency.
  2. Then start kneading the dough by flouring the kitchen countertop, and when the dough is well formed, put it in a bowl oiled with vegetable oil and cover it with a cloth. Let it rest for 45–50 minutes to ferment.
  3. Then divide the dough into 2 meringues, shape them into 2 cm-thick pieces, and decorate with toppings.
  4. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven until golden brown, and serve warm.
